Ha! I got to play for an hour or so last night and got a green glass shield! Finally got rid of the heavy tower shield I'd been carrying. I was doing a quest for the Fighters Guild in Ald-Rhun somewhere near Molag Mar and had to fight some bandit woman outside a cave and got it from her.

I sure do like this Daedric sword! It just mows the enemies down. I wish I could find someone with enough money to sell the other Daedric weapons to, as they are worth a huge amount of money. Even the Creeper dude can't help me there.

Drac, on one of the islands to the east (I think) of Vivec is a talking mudcrab; crazy but true. Like the Creeper he pays full price for stuff, but I believe his bank limit is 10,000. If you have to go over that, the only ways to do it is to either decrease the offered amount in the sell/buy window using the (-) minus sign and settle for less or to use the bank method; selling one day then buying back the next in order to increase how much cash on hand the Creeper or the Mudcrab merchant has...

Thanks for your encouragement, Rowan. I was very sceptical about being able to do it with stealth, but this time around, I had set up a character built for thievery, as I had always been terrible with thieving before, and one of my goals this time around, is to rise to the top of the Thieve's Guild.

So when I had managed to steal Nylcara's diamond for Sugarlips, I thought I'd just give it a try to see what happens.

I sneaked around the side of the building- in at that top door on the side, - and lo and behold- even though Galbedir was in the room, she didn't see me, ad I managed to do the deed undetected! Hurrah!

All Ajira's duties are now done, and I've decided to get some duties from the Ald'Ruhn chapter before attempting to get the key to Nerano manor for Sugarlips.(Which was always a tough one for me in the past)
I've always baulked at the Aldruhn Thieves first job, as it gets you booted out of the Mage's Guild. Anyone got a heads-up on how to avoid this?

Thanks so much, I will do lots of stealing and not get caught and try to find some quests in the town and then head out, I thought I just had to head out. Did you get the email from The Witcher, nothing new it seems, but a picture I do not recognize, but then I may have forgotten it. Thanks for putting up with me and I am glad I am not a pest.

Thanks

Maggie you are not a pest. If you can't find the Seyda Need quests, let me know and I will point you in the right direction. I tend to make note of who I talk to, then you don't repeat yourself. Don't go into the cave/tomb whatever it is there yet, you will be sure to die. Take my advice and save before entering an place you aren't sure about, then if you do die you can reload, brush yourself off and go level up.

You will not get booted out of the Mages Guild. All the mages except one are away for the weekend. The one remaining mage will attack you so you can go ahead and permanently remove this individual. This will be self defense and you will have no witnesses. Then go ahead and loot the entire place. Before doing this quest I would scout it out to discover where the most valuable items are hidden. You may not have enough weight allowance in your inventory so this gives you the opportunity to pick and choose. I can't remember correctly if some of the items have 100 locks or not so be sure to have high quality lockpicks and something to boost your security skill.

It isn't that hard once you get used to it, I am sure all of have left moused people and started a fight, so remember to save. When the persons name shows up, press your space bar and it will give you conversation options. Like the silt strider, space bar when you see the guys name, he usually will ask you where you want to go, you click on travel, then you get the options of where to go. Next thing you know you will be teleported to your choice. Here is UHS hints, has all the quests in it and some general info. Morrowind hints I will send you a pm shortly to give you some people to talk to in Seyda Neen. You will need some gold so you need to go to the tradehouse and sell what you stole out of the Census Office.

Hi maggie57 smile

The Quick Save Button (F5) was invaluable to me when I first started this game.
Before I entered ANY new place I hit F5 everytime so I could re-load if I got into trouble .... And believe me, I got into plenty until I got more used to things lol

But you will soon pick up the controls.
I can't cope with games that have madly complicated controls and I am doing OK so that's a good indication.

And lots of us here to help out when we can thumbsup

Cheers.

Hi- praise thumbsup

I find myself in Balmoral (sp) I shall visit all of it in the morning, I flew on an animal, have talked to dozens of people and traded so far, I traded in the first town. Got a better weapon. Still need lots of gold I think to get better equipment, do I find it when I kill someone or steal something??
Thanks Mad for the help, the controls are getting better, I am going to pick up that game pad this weekend, I am going to buy it here rather than have it shipped.

Thanks so much

Don't forget to go back to Seyda Neen and do those quests, every little bit will help you to level up. I suggest that you walk rather than ride, not only to save gold but to get experience. Run and jump whenever you can, that helps build athletics. I think you will find it much easier when your controls are away from your regular keyboard too. Don't forget to look for the guy falling from the sky, I loved the Sparksword until I got better weapons. I still haven't found Shallit, I ended up going towards Dagon Fel instead, so I have to go back and get unlost.

Yes, I shall go back to Seyda Neen for the quests and I will walk, hopefully I will not have to fight, as I think it would not take much to kill me. The guy falling from the sky I shall indeed look for, thanks so much.

You should only have to fight those little squiggly things for now, just whack and whack, the longer you hold down the mouse button, the harder you hit. Don't worry if you are a female you will scream alot, I still do. I wonder what the guy ones do?
Don't forget to pick the flowers and shrubs while you are out in the wilderness, if you join Mages, you will need them for Ajira.

By the way, what race, etc are you?

I didn't think it would be OK to actually kill the guy. I would go to the point where he starts attacking me, and then when I couldn't pacify him, I would simply reload my previous gamesave and avoid the quest.

Well! There are always new things to learn in this game.
This time around I simply must do all the Thieve's quests, as I've never ruled the Thieve's Guild before.
Same goes for the Assassins. I was almost at the top with Telvanni when I lost my saves, so I'll be a Telvanni this time around. devilchili

If you have a paper map, then look for an island that is called Mzahnch, with ruins on it SE of Suran. The mudcrab is on an island just offshore of that island, you have to walk around the outskirts of the ruin to the S/SE side, then just a short swim over. The first time I tryed to find him from the opposite direction I got completely lost as there are way too many little islands out there.

Yup, I think that other than one of the main quest weapons Goldbrand is one of the most powerful pre-enchanted weapons in the game.

OK, so I'm cured of corpus and Caius left me in charge of the Blades. I'm at level 26. Where do I go now? Should I continue doing duties for the House or Reordan, the Mages Guild and the Fighters Guild that I've joined?

Drac, you can continue the main quest by visiting one of the wise women up north. She will guide you through the Nevarine tests. However, once you become the Nevarine the temple will no longer accept you to do their quests since they are rather anti-Nevarine. So I would suggest you do any quests from any guild s especially the temple ones so that you won't miss out on them.

I haven't joined the Temple yet. So I take it there is no conflict with joining several guilds etc.? I remember the wise woman in the Urshiluku Camp talking about the tests.

I did go back and found I had missed a dialogue with Caius that told me to go to Vivee and get some Milo guy. So, I'll be off to Vivee when I get back into the game. Thanks, Rowan!

Draclvr when you go to Vivec, got to the Hall of Justice and talk to the guy in the room (Office of the Watch) about the seven victims that everyone in Vivec is talking about. Then go find the bad lady in the underworks of the Foreign Quarter. I just finished her off, she was a piece of cake for me so you can probably off her with one blow. She has a key that could come in handy later, and Ordinator gives you a choice of rewards.

I finally found Shallit, the opening actually is on the water, it was a rather hard quest, the guys in there were stronger than most. Had to go out and heal closer to the opening, then wrap myself up in a purple bubble. I left lots of stuff in there, if I ever run broke I have stashes all over the island.

I am now heading up overland to Maar Gan, then from there to further North. While I am up there I need to remind the Ashlanders that I should now be a Clanfriend. I also purchased a water breathing spear from someone, on sale yet, should come in handy for the swim coming up.

I think I already wasted the lady in the underworks. Can't remember what I took from the ordinator.
