Well, I finally managed to get a few hours straight playing time, and finished *both* the final two dungeons in one go, although both were 'speed runs' not level clearances. The final fight came down to a competition between the bad guy and my supply of health potions. Worth the effort in the end, however. And I'll probably have another go with different skills. I fancy a serious magic user next time

Be interested to hear what you think as I usually like to play as a magic user.

I'm playing as a magic user now, and it seems considerably easier than as a warrior. I've already killed the Lich King and I'm on my way to meet the dwarves. The biggest difference is that as a magic user, I rarely have to get close to the bad guys, because I've put plenty of points into my fireball and mana recovery skills (and not a lot else). As a warrior, I found that ranged weapons only did about half of the job of killing bad guys at best, so also needed decent armour - and that's hard to come by. However, I'm still enjoying the game.

That's why I love to play as a magic user in every RPG--I don't have to get up close and personal

Thanks for the info, Gremlin - love that fireball myself. Would you recommend this game?
