Heidi, if you need a push check out MaG's Check list here. If you are still stuck, they can help you in Hints.

If anyone has got this game running on Vista will you please let us know? I have a new computer Dell Desktop with a Nivida 8800 GT video card. Does everyone have to download the fix for the game as well as the Wic download?

Before I finish downloading it I want to know someone with Vista home premium has succeeded n getting it to run because of some of the horror stories. I want to make sure this game will not hurt my computer. Thanks in advance.

I am running it on Vista - I had to update my video drivers but have not had to download any patches. I have an Nvidia video card too !

wave thanks Jenny, that is great news! When you update your video drive did you have to uninstall the old driver for the newest update.

I am finishing the download now with hope in my heart. Sounds like a great game. Thanks again for your quick response.

Sherryah, I am very blonde, I just clicked the update button & did not have to uninstall anything or do anything tricky. My PC needed to restart after the installation, I was SO relieved when I could see pictures on the screen.
Good luck with your update.

Any one heard from BFG on a new fix for this game? Hmmmmmm, it's been a while now. I have emailed them as well, just thought I'd as here as well. Thanks

I've not heard anything yet and there is no word on the developers website either.

hi there, have really got into casebook- could not open game at first, but fortunately have a great son in law who sorted out the glitch, reported it to bfg, but still have heard nothing from them. Only problem I get impatient at some scenes when it takes too long to find stuff and think I overuse my i key (hint) and then it stops working and Im stuck again, Detective Burton is so cute, better looking by far than Grissom, cane, or any of the others.Sometimes yhe processing can become a bit tedious but all said and done a great game, good story , great graphics, happy gaming, best wishes, Lorraine

I had already ordered The Colour of Murder from Dave at Interact, but was wondering if the rebuild of Casebook is still ongoing. I've not seen anything from BFG in a week or more.

Oh, thanks, I didn't mean to butt in to someone else's thread. It just popped into my head that I hadn't seen or heard anything. Sorry for the extra work.

Adorable....I did get an email from BFG Customer Service as I enquired on status. Yes, they are still working on the issues, however, they have not been successful in finding a fix for all of the issues and although they didn't say it....I don't know if they will. I know that they have stopped selling the game on BFG, at least that's what they told me, and therefore I was given a coupon. Again, they didn't tell me they won't find a fix they just said as of right now that have not been successful. They are simply the greatest game site I have ever encountered. But everyone here already knows that so no need for me to go on. Hopefully they will be able to get all the issues fixed. I will certainly buy it again once I know it is fixed.

For those that are still having issues with this game, BFG is giving coupons as a replacement to this game since there's no ETA from the developers on a sufficient fix for all of the issues.

See this FAQ question/answer.
