I hope I'm not all alone in this dilemma.
I'm a lover of HOGs from way back to the first Mystery Case Files. And I had to have them all.
Well, now I'm addicted to IHOGs and I just have no patience or enthusiasm for regular HOGs now!
So I have to ask, do you still get excited for HOGs or do you wait for IHOGs only?

If the HOG has a well written story and crisp clear graphics, I still enjoy them, but do find myself favoring the IHOGs. I appreciate really well done HOGS and so usually I still purchase them to encourage developers to keep doing them well. I have been passing on the ones with poor English or poorly written stories or really hard to find items. I am so glad that BFG has such a good price for games as I have well over 100 so far. Kathy

IHOG's are Interactive Hidden Object Games. Yes, I would consider MCF:RTR an IHOG.
Hidden Secrets, E.A.Poe, these are IHOG's.
I love HOG's but I too now lean more towards the IHOG. It is more like an adventure/mystery with Hidden Objects screens.
So many games, so little time.

Hi, I'm new here and this is my first post so I hope this comes out okay. I love HOGS, but enjoy IHOGs so much more. I have all the MCFs and fell in love with RTR and Madame Fate. Then I got into Dream Chronicles and I got hooked....they were far too short. It became a family affair with that game LOL, my daughter on her laptop and my 7 yr old graddaughter waiting for her turn on my PC LOL. After DC I was searching for more IHOGs and did find several good ones to play. Now I find that when I dld a new HOG (always use Big Fish), I too, can become bored by the end....sometimes in the first 15 minutes.... of the demo. I got so bored and itchy for a really good game that I decided to try the adventure game my daughter had on her account, Syberia 2. Well, it was difficult for me, but, interesting enough that I stuck with it to the end and truly enjoyed the game (thanks to the help I got from a Gameboomers Walkthrough). So I thought I was just an oddball (as usual LOL) and find this topic. Thank you looney for posting this subject.
Gotta' be crazy, to keep from going insane

Hi ya Smitty145 and to GameBoomers Syberia 2 is a great game. You should tackle Syberia 1 now. We sure seem to be getting a lot of fun casual games releasing lately

for the Welcome Looney4labs! I'm looney for Giraffes LOL. I already dld Syberia 1......waiting to start it when there aren't any distractions. Giraffes are fun--it's good to be Looney about something. But if I waited to play til there were no distractions, I'd never get to play

I have to be honest and say that I don't even consider buying HOG's anymore, I just pass them by.

Either look at the threads started for each game and see comments or look at the walkthroughs and see what you need to do. Ana

While I prefer IHOGS, if they are too complicated, I feel like I am playing an adventure game(which I like) but somtimes I want to do mindless game playing. I still like straight HOGS, as long as it has movment, like wind blowing, leaves falling etc.

My 2 cents? That's why they still make Chocolate & vanilla IceCream Sometime I'm in the mood for Chocolate, and sometimes plain Vanilla....... But then there are those other times when I want Chocolate & Vanilla Swirl!
