I am getting the Macromedia Projector has to quit message, which prevents me from running the game. Any ideas on how to fix it? I am running it on XP (at least I am trying to grr)

Is this the Director's Cut? If so, I played it on XP and had no problems.
Maybe try uninstall and then reinstall with your antivirus off.

I did more than that . I uninstalled and reinstalled in safe mode. Oddly enough, the game launches just fine in safe mode, but Projector still quits in normal mode. Could it it's in conflict with something else?

Yes it sounds like it may be conflicting with something that's running in normal mode. Possibly an antivirus, software firewall, or screensaver. Are you able to play the game in Safe Mode?

I proceeded to write Iceberg support for some additional help and here's what they came up with:

1. Right-click on the game setup file.
2. Select "Properties".
3. Select "Compatibility”.
4. Select "Show settings for all users".
5. Select "Run this program as an administrator" and "Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 2)".
6. Press "OK".
7. Now proceed to run the setup for the game and attempt to play it.

Now I am running XP Home edition , nut Xp Pro. So where do I go to switch from simple user to administrator, because I don't see those options pull up when I right click to pull up the compatibility tab for the setup.exe file.

suggests holding down the Shift key when you right-click,
then choose Run As,
then click "Run the program as the following user," and then type the user name, password, and domain of the administrator account that you want to use.

See if that works with your XP Home.

thanks for the suggestion Jenny. A lot has happened since. Not only did my hard drive give up the ghost (finally, after 6 years!), but I've also changed OS. So , not only do I now have a brand new PC (Pavillon BK256a Core i3) running windows 7 now (yow, new OS to familiarize myself with). Here's hoping I can still run the older games in win7's compatibility mode. Will go read the sticky on this subject.

I hope it works on your new Win 7 machine, ikonius. I don't have the remastered version, but the original installed and played perfectly on my 64-bit Win 7.
