I take it Comcast is an cable tv provider? If it is then you have to remember the more subscribers get online the slower your connect speed will be. If your main service is over coxal cable. If it's over fiber optics then you should have a dedicated line to your house, with the limiting factor the coxal drop going to your house. Unless you have fiber optics up to your house.

The download trouble you spoke of Gatsby almost sounds like an equipment time out, where the equipment actually takes a time out if there is no action on the line.

Yes, I realize you were downloading, but that may not have been enough if in fact the equipment went to coffee.

And sometimes, there may be intermittent trouble that can't be detected until it finally becomes permanent. Even small troubles over any transmission medium can cause big troubles.

If something gets your goat, it just proves you have a goat to get.

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried installing it again and got the same error message. Guess I will need to delete the game and start the download over. A couple of years ago I tried to download this same game when they first offered the remastered version and could never get it to download and install properly even after contacting Frogwares. They refunded my money. Since I have a new computer I was hoping that it would download smoothly this time. In general, are the Frogwares games more difficult to download? Seems like that to me.

If you're talking about the Remastered Sherlock vs Arsene Lupin (aka Sherlock Nemesis), I had no trouble downloading and installing the Big Fish version

Darn. I didn't realize that it is on Big Fish. I have quite a few game credits there but I bought it during the sale that they just had on Frogware games (30% off). I would have preferred to order from BFG because their games have always downloaded just fine, at least the Casual Games do. I haven't downloaded any large file games from BFG. I have had trouble at the Frogware site.
