Does anyone know how to do this? I have several demos on my laptop and I would like to uninstall them but I have no clue as to go about doing this.

Merry, Go to your Start menu and find the game's folder. Click on the folder to open it. One of the options should be "uninstall this game/demo". Better yet, go get the free version of Revo Uninstaller. All you have to do with that is open the program, right click on the name of the game/demo you want to get rid of, select uninstall and it will do it for you. All of your programs are automatically listed in Revo. Just using the game's uninstall sometimes doesn't get rid of everything. Revo gives you the option of completely removing anything left behind. Gil.

Or go to your Add Remove Programs in Control Panel. Revo is indeed a good option too.

Sometimes games are in the developer's folder. Say you had Deep Silver's Lost Horizon. The folder in the start menu would be Deep Silver and only by clicking on that would you come to the actual game/demo.
Seriously, go get Revo. I cannot imagine that it won't be able to find those demos.
Gil.
Just had a thought. You did have to install these demos, right? They don't just run when you click on the file you downloaded? Many free games do that (well, after you select the options you want, if any, and click Save and Run) and if you download to the desktop then that "is" the game and all you have to do is delete it.

Go for the Revo or try Gil's suggestion to look in the game folder - maybe in All Programs. Often there is an Uninstall option there.

Oh, my, Oh, my I am showing my ignorance. I think this is exactly what is going on. It shows as a download but I cannot find it anywhere else so I think this is exactly what is going on. I could not find them under the developers either, I tried that it would be MDNA games and no files/folders for them. So now how do I get rid of the download? I warned everyone I really should not be using computers....DUH! So embarassing..

So now how do I get rid of the download? Click once on the demo file to highlight it and press the delete key on your keyboard. Or right-click the demo file and choose Delete from the context menu.

It went to my recycle bin is this correct? Yup. Now once you empty your recycle bin it's gone for good.

merry, nothing to be embarrassed about. It's a learning curve, everyone goes through it. Not everyone has a need or want to learn how to delete files and/or programs. Consider yourself at the beginning of an exciting adventure.
You can also right click on a icon or program and find where the short cut leads. Then you can go to that location and, hopefully, do battle with the little pests.

"It's a learn curve, everyone goes through it."
Merry, Homer6 hit it right on the button. We've all been there, believe me. It's not that the learning curve is so steep, it's just that things sneak up on you and make you learn them when you'd just as soon not. Little stinkers. <g> I'm glad you got this figured out!

Glad you figured out what I was trying to say Gil. Funny how words in your head don't always make it to your fingers.

Lol! I meant it when I said you hit it dead on, Homer6. I was just adding my two cents to what you'd already said very well. Sorta a little added encouragement.

merry I guess it can honestly be said everyone at one time or another has done something that locks up their computer. The trick is figuring out what you did and not do it again.
Something I do if I run into something new to me, as I'm going through right now moving from old computer to new computer, I Google the problem and see what I can find.
It is surprising the number of sites that offer help with one problem or another. Not all have the answer I'm looking for, but they are there if you need them.
