in the game im getting a lot of black screen.when arrow points forward in game there is never a picture just black .im on vista

You may have to install the DX Studio Player they mention on that page separately from the game.

Sounds like a driver issue, or that your video card doesn't meet the requirements.

What are your specs?

Just follow Jenny's link, it will download an executable file. I don't see any instructions on the Web Site, but it looks like it updates the game when you run the download.

Try saving it to your desktop, and then click the shortcut after it completes.

The patch fixes an issue whereby the fonts would not display on save and load menus on some systems.

The issue mentioned here sounds like, as InlandAZ has suggested, a graphics card or driver issue. One or two other users reported an issue like this, and in both cases the card was an nVidia one, and it could be solved by updating the drivers.
