Hi all, So it begins. :zombie: Like its paler sibling, this thread is about compiling a list that answers the question "what darker games should I play". - Its a list for everyone - newbies, dabblers and darkside veterans - and you have 13 days to list 13 Dark Side games that other people should play. There are rules, and they are the same as last year:
  1. You can recommend a maximum of 13 games, but are allowed to recommend less. 2. You can't list a series, unless you use single votes for each game. 3. Expansion packs, DLC, GOTY releases etc are all considered the same game - just vote for eg Fallout 3 and ignore all its available added on bits. 4. Consistent with 3, enhanced editions, directors cuts etc are also considered the same game. 5. Any "dark" game (ie not pure adventure or casual) can be listed, irrespective of genre. 6. You don't have to indicate the type or genre, and you are not limited to any specific number of games in any genre. Go ahead and list 13 fps' if you want to. 7. It is essentially a pc list (the system not the games), but given that many players have other systems, if you want to list some games for those go ahead.
If you can list alphabetically it helps me count, and please use full names, as I am not as familiar with titles over here. If I get confused, I will shriek for help. As I am still in the middle of a venerable sequel, I will wait a while to see if it makes my list, so someone else gets the pleasure of going first. :devilchili:

Thanks Flotsam Here's my 'reco' list: Castlevania - Lords of Shadow Darksiders Enslaved - Odyssey to the West God Of War 3 God Of War - Ghost of Sparta Heavy Rain Infamous Plants vs. Zombies Prince of Persia - The Forgotten Sands Sims 3, the Trine Uncharted 2 X-men Origins - Wolverine (I tried my best to do it alphabetically but I wasn't sure whether God of War 3 should come first or God of war - Ghost of Sparta) ---- (I still don't agree with that expansion packs decision but anyway. )

Arcanum Baldur's Gate Diablo 2 Dragon Age: Origins Fallout Might and Magic Morrowind Neverwinter Nights Oblivion Realms of the Haunting Rift The Witcher Wizardry A lot of these are oldies, but if you've never played the genre and have a machine that can do it these are so good. I hope it's OK to put Rift I removed "the series" part.

Hmm, going to be really short for me this time. The only one I really enjoyed was: 1: Fallout 3 And if allowed I'd like to add: 2: World of Warcraft (up to Cataclysm)

Guild Wars: Prophecies Guild Wars: Factions Guild Wars: Nightfall Guild Wars: Eye of the North First three are stand alone campaigns but can be linked on one account so you can play all three on same characters. The fourth is an expansion pack which requires one on of the other three. Originally sold separately now you can buy the entire series for less than it used to cost for one.
Can't say Guild Wars 2 its not out yet. Though its supposed to go into closed beta testing this year.

Currently Playing: Adventure Game: Broken Age Darkside: Star Wars: The Old Republic

One week down and a nice eclectic mix. Some old winners still going strong, and some new entries to the list. Still getting my head around some of the games and may ask for some help. Debra you will have to redo the series votes - if you want to list a series its one vote for each game.

There is only about 24 hours to go, give or take a time zone If you haven't voted, have at it.
