I slogged thru the apparent "no inventory" bugs in the last part of Atlas part 1 of this game - I kept R-clicking to make Bent's inventory show up at the bottom of the screen, but it never showed up. I think this may be a bug in this game.
Did anyone else have this problem?
How is it fixed?
Thanks in advance.

Here's what I found in MaG's walkthrough.
Gameplay: This is a third person point and click game.
The main menu has new game, continue game, load, options, save game, credits and quit.
The options menu has subtitles, speech volume, sound volume, music volume and full screen adjustments.
The interaction menu is seen when a hotspot is left clicked-hold on. The action selections to be done on that hotspot are seen. Right mouse click will close the interaction menu when no action is selected.
Inventory is at bottom of screen. It can be accessed and closed by right mouse click. There are scroll arrows at right and left ends of the inventory bar.
Additional help:
ESC key opens the main menu
A skip button-double arrow appears after 3 minutes on the mini puzzle.
Double click on exits will speed up the change to the next screen.
Dialogues can be skipped by enter key, left or right mouse clicks or period key.
Spacebar shows all active spots on the screen.
The + and - keys control the general volume.
The T key cycles from subtitles with voice, subtitles only or voice only during the game.
The M key turns the sounds off-on.
The Q key quits the game.
Other keys: F1-load, F5-save, F8-options, F9-quick save (one slot only), F12-quick load of F9 save.

Congrats on starting this great game. The info is actually from MaG's walkthrough that you can find from this very site. It's another great one from the best. Cathy

I'm fully aware of this, but still, now that I'm playing as Bent at the beginning of chapter 6 "Atlas part 2", Bent's inventory does not show up regardless of how many times I keep R-clicking the mouse (especially after I load a save (Bent's save)) - help, please?

... Bent's inventory does not show up regardless of how many times I keep R-clicking the mouse (especially after I load a save (Bent's save)) - help, please? ***Becky's review*** mentioned that she had a saved game glitch that could only be overcome by getting a saved game from another gamer.

] mentioned that she had a saved game glitch that could only be overcome by getting a saved game from another gamer. Now I'm getting curious - how exactly does a save from someone else fix this glitch? Could someone send me a save for Bent at the beginning of Chapter 6 "Atlas Part 2", please? Thanks, Jenny, et al!

Maybe this has already been addressed, but is there a remote possibility the game is not in the correct resolution on the screen and that's why you can't see the inventory?

Maybe this has already been addressed, but is there a remote possibility the game is not in the correct resolution on the screen and that's why you can't see the inventory? If I played straight thru from a save where, as Bent with Duve (who is angry according to MaGtRo's w/t) in the residential quarters that lead to the H2 lab and the other lab (near conclusion of Chapter 5 "Atlas Part 1"), I can access my inventory (Bent's inventory shows up at bottom of screen if I take a couple of items and then R-click the mouse) or even if I keep loading this save and play straight thru to the beginning of Chapter 6 "Atlas Part 2", Bent's inventory shows up upon R-clicking the mouse, but after loading the Bent At (same) Residential Quarters Save at beginning of Chapter 6 "Atlas Part 2", Bent's inventory does not show up onscreen even if I collect several items and R-click afterward, so I doubt that the screen resolution has anything to do with this. So what gives?

Maybe you should try and uninstall and re-install the game again. It sounds like something got messed up along the way. I haven;t played the game (just the demo). Are you suppose to be playing as this char or someone else ?

If you see my post in hints I had the problem with the inventory in Chapter 5, the way round I found was to click f8 and then return to the game, right click and viola the inventory was there, this may not work for everyone but it did for me. This trick worked for me. Am playing ANB in my Acer laptop, Win 7, 4 GB RAM, 115 GB free HDD space, game crashes as soon as I (playing as Bent) is at the open door of the H2 lab (Atlas part 2) where he sees Lissa's necklace - the game keeps crashing at this point. Could it be b/c of the 115 GB of free HDD space on drive C or what? How to I fix the crash? Looked for a patch on google, only found no-cd patches, or the like. *****************************************************************************\\ Might this recurrent crash be b/c the Acer's HDD doesn't have enough of free space for the swap files needed by the game (plus the screenshot taker app running in the background)?

How much RAM does the Acer have? If you have enough RAM, you may not even need Virtual Memory (cache) Here's a site with illustrated instructions for how to change your Virtual Memory settings in Windows 7 http://www.itechtalk.com/thread3588.htmlThe recommended minimum is 1.5 x the amount of RAM you have. The recommended maximum is 3 x the amount of RAM you have. On a laptop with 4GB RAM or more it's unlikely that the size of your Virtual Memory would cause the game to crash. However there could be a conflict between the game and your screenshot program at the point where it crashes. You might try rebooting (to clear your cache) and playing the game past the point of the crash without the screenshot application running in the background.

Jenny, I got past this point of crash the other day. I had to not use the screenshot program to get past the crash point, then after I got past it, resumed the game with the screenshot program running. Why might the game be crashing at the entrance to the H2 lab while the screenshot program is running - is it a RAM issue, or what?
My Acer has 4 GB RAM.

My Acer has 4 GB RAM. It's most likely an issue with the game having a conflict with the screenshot software at that point in the game.

Got farther, this time to the hatch where Bent & Fay have to escape after the Breeding Lab explodes, when the game froze up at the hatch (had the screenshot prog running), started Task Manager & saw that physical RAM was at 28 - 27%, processes running were over 87, CPU usage about 1 - 2%, What does this tell you, Inland, Jenny? I think maybe all these 87+ processes are tying up my 4 GB RAM.
Restarted PC, > Task Mgr > Physical RAM 31%, Processes 88, Free HDD space 144 of 500 GB, (without game/screenshot prog running). My hypothesis as to why the lockup is happening in the game at the hatch - might be b/c these 88 or so processes are tying up my physical memory (and the game needs memory to run the sequence/respond to my input?)

Either it is the aforementioned screenshot software , or there is another program causing a conflict of some form , that is utilizing either 100 percent of the system ram , cpu resources , or both . Having 88 running processes seems to be a large amount . What cpu is being utilized in this laptop ?

If you've got a runaway process, you'll see it there. I think it’s more than likely a conflict with your capture software. Yeah, so I started wondering if I'd get better results with running the game in XP instead of Win 7. So I installed the game in my Dell M1530, and I want to know where are the saved games located? I went into the Lace Mamba/new beginning directory to find the saved games, but there's nothing like "saves" in there, and I checked in both of my Acer's Win 7 My Documents, Documents and Public Documents but they're not located there, either. I just want to transfer the saves from the Acer into the new installation on my M1530 so I won't have to start all over again from the beginning? And why can't I no longer edit the title thread (my original post) in this thread accordingly - has been disabled b/c of something I said/did recently?
