Aside from updating the video driver, which I already did several weeks ago and informed HerInteractive support - what can you recommend me do to solve, black screen on game installed from disc.

I see flashes of the intro and then settles into a black screen. frown

HI MaG
Did you try and roll back your video drivers to an earlier state ? I had to do this to get Black Mirror 2 to work properly when they told me to update them.

Ah. I did try system restore since I deleted a Google program several days ago. 2 system restore failed.

I will see if that works. I am trying to update an old laptop and see if I can install the game there.

I am running disk error check right now.

Thanks, Cathy.

Did going back to previous drivers fix the problem for you, MaG?
If not, see if the game works windowed:

Thanks, Cathy.

Jenny,
I have not rolled back yet. Am error checking the tower computer. laugh
Anyhow - I can only see a flash of the windowed-fullscreen screen and then I get a black screen.
I am not fast enough to move the cursor to tick it on. lol

Also - I have the laptop that I haven't used in 2 years updating all the programs, internet connection, etc... I'll see if that works with the ND game. I checked and the video card driver is 2002. Hahahaha.
Thanks Jenny.

Are you running Windows 7 or XP? Have you tried adjusting your desktop resolution to something like 1024x768 (or lower)?

I just now tried to change to 1024x768 resolution - still got the black screen.
Thanks Inland. wave

Since you're running XP, try adjusting your video acceleration settings.

I'm wondering if it could be a problem with the monitor -- that the monitor is having trouble displaying the specific refresh rate/resolution combination the game is asking for. That's why I asked if the game would run windowed.

Thanks, Inland and Jenny. I will check the acceleration.

I will see what is the refresh rate too.

I am installing on the laptop now also.

Ha! It works on my laptop.

Thanks you all. I will do the adjustments later.

Appreciate the help. laugh

Another thing that comes to mind is... Is there a Setup link that you can get into before you launch the game? If so, try lowering the Audio/Video options to their lowest settings.

No - there's no setup link, Inland. Thanks.

- I think I will rest or even maybe give up - my laptop overheated and now would not want to start. Now, I remember why I stopped using it. Hahahahaha.
All I got to play and write is the intro. smashpc
