I keep getting toasted by the lasers! I've done the color puzzle and am stuck trying to get the door open before the warring aliens toast me! Anyone got a save just after locking the door -- ummm AFTER you get through it?

After using the 3 rings on the sensors you will receive indication lights: 3 red lights mean all of your rings are in the wrong position, 1 green light means you have 1 ring in the right position, 2 green lights mean you have 2 rings in the right position, 3 green lights means... err.. the door opens =).

Keep experimenting with the rings till you get 2 green lights, after that look on the floor, the alien threw a red ring at you, pick it up and SAVE your game, replace ONE of the rings you used earlier with the RED ring (since you only have 1 bad located ring anyway, in most cases you need to replace the CYAN ring), when you get 3 green lights the door opens, quickly hit the switch on the left to close the door and escape the flying security drone. REMEMBER the sequence you used to open the door since it'll be crucial for later on.

That's the point I'm at alright! But....not only do you have to remember the sequence it's a timed thing and that's the problem! You have to be very FAST!

opps....not that point----sorry--i'm typing one handed --just had surgery on mt wrist *whine*--I'm at the door (same one but going back after doing the the alien color puzzle and have been told what my mission is and that I am the Ward--- you walk back down the hall and as soon as you can see the door start the rings 'cause the alien bad guy are shooting....thi part is not like doing it the first timr because you can't just do it again until the rings are are correct - you are killed if you don't do it fast enough

Hi there, Blondie........Is this your gaming hand? If so, you might be at a bit of a disadvantage. But, its not really that hard, just tricky. As Walker starts back down the hall, position your cursor over the door lock panel at the other end of the hall and as soon as you have control of of the cursor, click on the panel. This way you target the panel ahead of time instead of waiting until Walker is way down the hall. OK?

You'll get it blondie...just don't get discouraged. This is one tough game. It might require moving your cursor over to get around Walker. Its been a LONG time since I last had any control over this guy. As I recall, though, you don't have any control over him as he starts walking (for pete's sake) down the hall, but there is a window when you get control of the cursor and can quickly access that panel at the end of the hall. Its takes some practice as do a lot of actions as the game progresses.

For what it might be worth, try the following. Mainly what I wanted to emphasize is that when you finally do makeit, you must close the door immeditely--those scamps seem to be able to shoot lasers around corners.

Getting back through the corridor without being shot by a laser is one of the more difficult episodes of this game. The time given to do this is so short it borders on being unfair, but it can be done with practice. Before entering the corridor (when Walker is ready to say

Oh, thanks, Soren....that's a good tip. I got my fanny roasted a few times (and the glass melted opposite the door) before I got out of the way in time. It is a tough sequence. Isn't the door lock off to the right as Walker comes through the door into the control room again?

Soren-- that tip was the last kick i needed! i made it through 1ST attrmpt by organizing the rings while talking to the aliens!

Sorry, been busy trying to get a 1995 game to work on my XP, finally did it and wrote a WT. Game is The Dig, and it is a pretty darn good game, tho some of the 20 year old graphics a little crude.

If you are in the Colony and have been beat upon, presumably by Jack Ripper, then you have manged to get the biocontainer into your hand. Yell again if you need to.
