Judith, I love McCammon's books. Lots of good reading.

I'm still working my way through The Wheel of Time. I'm enjoying it a lot more than I did last time I read it. Jordan was a good writer. I suspect that last time I read the books I was skim-reading, speed-reading, which I often did when I was still working. Since I retired I've slowed down my reading, and it makes a difference.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

I finished Scalzi's The Human Division and The End of All Things and hope to get the 7th in the series very soon. In the meantime, I'm reading The Personals: The Human Stories Behind the Small Ads by Brian O'Connell.

Sometimes I think I read too much and play too many games, but then I laugh and either turn the page or keep on clicking.

I started Dust and Shadow, a Jack the Ripper Sherlock Holmes book. I have only read the prologue so far.

I finished The Shattering Peace last night. It did not disappoint in any way. I wonder if Scalzi intends this one to end the series. It would be appropriate, but I could hope for more. In the meantime, there are more of his books I haven't read yet and other authors' stories crying for my attention. Life is good!

I am reading Thinner by Richard Bachman/Stephen King. The last time I read it was about 40 years ago so it's like a new book for me.

I had to look "Thinner" up as I never heard of it. Sounds interesting!

Marian, I remember it being pretty creepy, but it's been that long since I read it too. Need to see if I still have it somewhere.
