The fairy fight cheat saved the game for me. The constant fights can get tiresome. Otherwise it is a fun game.

Follow this:

Right click on the desktop shortcut for the game.
Choose properties.
Look at the "Target" box.
Add -console at the end of that line. Sometimes it requires a space before the -console, sometimes not.
Click Apply at the bottom.

Now, once in the game, press your F11 key to bring up the console. Then type the code of the cheat that you want to use.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any trouble with it.

Hehehehehe. The tip of my right toe is testing the waters. I keep on thinking I'll drown. This is my third serious attempt at a Darkside game. Could never get off the starting gate.

Nickie has been trying to convert me to the darkside. It's scary in here.

I think you are just afraid that Adventure Games will be too boring after you go to the DarkSide Marita.

You know, you can use the cheats to get as much gold as you want, too. Just type in the word "gold" and you get 1000 gold pieces each time. Want to rob the Bank of Tiralin?

Getting enough gold to get carrots or other stuff was the part I hated....until Looney showed me this very helpful cheat.

There's a way to exchange fairies without going back to London, too. Heh, heh. Just type in "deckon" before you open the fairy deck...and you're all set.

Edit: This is the only "darkside" game I've ever liked.

WHen you hold down the mouse button to charge up you shot, if you don't shoot in time, it will backfire on you...

Hahahaha - that must be it! I can't find the training fairy. I fly overhead, below, right, left. The target shakes (and it's not because my hand shakes ). See me pounding my head on a wall. I'm useless.

My fault - I should have mentioned that you do have to let up on the click before that happens! Try not flying and just walking when you're looking for the training fairy, so you can concentrate on getting the shot off. Or even wait in the same place and she'll eventually find you. You don't even have to aim well in this game, just the general vicinity and you should hit them. I have no doubt when you get the little things down, you will find yourself having fun. Relax, take deep breaths, and ENJOY DARN IT!

OK I have a question. I won my first two fairy fights. I just had a little guy on the path wanting to challenge me to see who had the best fairy. Well I lost. After losing it said I lost all my fairies but when the game started me back I still had my fairy. Did I gain those fairies I beat or did I kill them. What do they mean I lost all my fairies?

You never "lose" your fairies JB, but they need to be resurrected because they have no health. I would get the cheat for Gold so you can buy lot of stuff to keep them healthy. I tried for the longest time to earn the Gold but never enough to maintain.
