A few details about your computer - such as OS, video card etc. - will help the moderators figure this out for you, cailyn.

If I can join in on this 'thread' - I have installed this from new disc (bought a couple months ago or so and just now opened package) and uninstall/reinstall twice, last time turning off Protections - when trying to launch game from desktop (double click on icon) get this message = "nD3D9 Texture::Create Empty Texture (): Failed to create plain offscreen surface AND Runtime error! This application has requestd the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contadt the application's supprt team (WHO?) for more information." My computer specs are 2.80 gig Intel Pentium 4, WINXP Home Edition Service Pack 3 (build 2600), Drives 320.05 Gig Usable Hard Drive Capacity and 197.27 Gig Hard Drive Free Space, Display (video card) NVIDIA GeForce 5200. Game will NOT run at all no matter what I have tried and I do not have a clue who "technical support" is so I can contact them. Microsoft error asked if I wanted to "send error report" and I did so only once, don't know who they are or if they will respond at all. Help me please and thanks. Love, Betty Lou Happy Easter weekend

HI Betty Lou. I don't think your video card is good enough to play this game. I have an Nvidea G Force 7300 GS and I could play it.

Hi Jenny,

Regards,
Barry The 6150 is DirectX 9.0c (shader model 3.0) while the 5200 is only DirectX 9.0 (shader model 2.0).

I could get the newer bigger better video card but how will my older games react to it? I cannot afford to buy a new computer for each and every 'different' OS game that comes out and there are so many of my old games (the ones that play on WINXP with no trouble) that I love to replay that I am staying with what I have. I do have a laptop that came with Vista (don't know the video card specs right now) and may try the game TI on it. Some times one has to make compromises or just give up - is it really worth all the frustration? No. Thanks for your help Love, Betty Lou

When you uninstalled it, did you search for and delete the game folder that may have been left behind after uninstalling? mj2c had a similar problem ***here***, but I don't know if a solution was ever found.
