I cannot even access the bigfishgames website! First it was giving me certificate errors. Now my browser says 'the page isn't redirecting properly'?!? This is on Firefox, Chrome, and Edge browsers. WTF Bigfish?!? This has been going on for 2-3 days now, do they not have any competent IT staff there?

I was on it earlier today but cannot access it now. I'm getting this:
"The page isn’t redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies."
I'm on Firefox and haven't changed anything since I was on earlier.

Just checking in - My link was to https://www.bigfishgames.com/pc-games/That still results in "Fetching Data . . ." (unsuccessfully fetching, that is) I have edited my link to another page, and everything works normally. As normal as it gets at BFG, that is. Thanks everyone for their advice and help.

Here's the other thing I noticed. The charges on my credit card statement used to show Big Fish Games Inc Seattle WA. Now they show Big Fish Games Inc Dover DE. I don't know if that has any significance . Edit: Then I also found this. Don't know if it's true and reliable or not. https://www.reddit.com/r/HiddenObje...ig_fish_games_terminates_contracts_with/

Yes, Big Fish Games is undergoing a transition to what in future will be called BFG Entertainment. My understanding is that pretty much all contracts have been terminated and that new contracts will be re-negotiated. What will ultimately happen with Friendly Fox and Grandma Studios is yet to be determined. So yes, I think the change on your credit card statement is another reflection of this transition. I should also note that these decisions in regards to some of the Big Fish game developers are being made by Big Fish's parent company, Aristocrat, and Big Fish should not be held responsible for them. I had thought of posting about this but was going to wait until certain things had been made more clear; right now things are in a state of flux. I will, however, copy and paste here a quote directly from BFG Entertainment that was posted on the Big Fish Fans Facebook page: Dear Big Fish Community,
As we wrap up an incredible 2025, we’ve been reflecting on the moments that defined our year. From the mysteries solved to the new worlds we explored together, thank you for making this a standout year for Big Fish Games.
While we take this time to celebrate with friends and family, our eyes are firmly fixed on the horizon. We’ve heard your feedback, and our resolution for the new year is simple: More of what you love, delivered with more value than ever before.
2026: The Year of the Player
We aren’t just releasing games in 2026; we are elevating the entire Big Fish experience. Here is a glimpse of what our teams are building for you:
Premium Content Cycles: We are streamlining our production to ensure a consistent, high-quality pipeline of your favorite hidden object and adventure franchises.
Enhanced Game Club Value: For our dedicated Members, 2026 will bring expanded rewards and more exclusive "First-Look" opportunities with our beta program. Your loyalty is the foundation of our success, and we’re committed to making the Game Club the best value in gaming.
Unrivaled Quality: We are investing more into the storytelling and technical polish of our upcoming titles to ensure every minute you spend in-game is world-class.
Stay Tuned We are currently putting the finishing touches on our 2026 Roadmap, and we cannot wait to pull back the curtain and share specific titles and release dates with you in the new year.
Thank you for being the most passionate community in the industry. We wish you a restful holiday season and a New Year filled with adventure.
Warmly, The team at Big Fish Games And that's pretty much all I know about the situation. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out this year (pun intended).

Double Whammy!! First the notice of corporate changes at GoG, and now similar issues at BFG. From a "casual" observer, the BFG issue sounds more troublesome.

Marian - As you said, time will tell. Side note: I used to own a sizeable chunk of Netflix stock. This was back in the day when Netflix said it was getting out of the CD business, and was going to concentrate on streaming. I sold my stock, at a good profit fortunately, because I didn't see a future in the streaming model. Well, you know how that turned out.

Another BFG screw up, although it's one I've had before. When, for whatever reason, you are forced to log into the main page you do so by supplying your email and password. OK. So far so good. Now assume you want to download a game from your library, so you select Download and you immediately get switched to the BFG client/manager where you can monitor the download and activate the game. Except the BFG Manager won't accept the email/password you just used to log into the main page! Right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Infuriating! I've tried deleting/re-installing game manager. I've also tried clicking on the .exe file in Explorer to no avail. Sent a note to BFG and they responded that "While tickets are answered in the order that they are received, due to ongoing updates to our Help Center, our response times are currently longer than usual. As a result, it may take more than 4 - 5 days to receive a reply." If i didn't have 500+ games in my library that are ought and paid for, many of which I like to replay or occasion, I'd be tempted to tell BFG where the can stick their customer service and be done with them.

I will keep that in mind for future downloads. Specifically for games that are in my Purchase History. At least I will do so once the current problem is solved. One thing I do like about downloading from the main page is the sort options which I don't think Game Manager offers.

Update on the problem. I've still not heard a word from customer service. It's been over two weeks now. Not even a note saying "we're still working on your problem." The main problem is that the main page at BFG seems to be the master. My correct mail and password seem to be held there. BFG game manager/client Doesn't recognize the same email/password combination, so downloading from game manager is impossible. Changing my password in game manager is equally impossible since the first question it asks is to fill in your current password. If I use the password that is currently recognized by the main page, it is not recognized. Infuriating!

That does sound quite infuriating! I would certainly reply to the email they sent originally to request status or something. Definitely! And one thing I can say is that I have never not heard back from them since the nearly 20 years I have been a customer. I see other people with issues like this and I wonder why. Given it's nearly 20 years, I can't just ascribe that to having been lucky.

I wrote BFG again this morning. I was a BFG member for a long time. This is the first time I remember that I got a message saying my inquiry was received and was then forgotten. I will keep you all posted.

Well, it's been another week since I wrote my follow-up message to BFG. So it's been over three weeks since I got my first message saying that they, BFG Customer Service, would get back to me in 4-7 days.
I'm more than frustrated. Of the 500+ games I've already bought that remain in my library, I'm thinking of culling the list to 50 of the "Best of the Best", downloading them, assuming I can get the downloads to work, and wave goodbye to BFG through my read-view window. The "get the downloads to work" remains problematic until I get the password problem with Game Manager solved. We shall see.

Update: Problem #1 is solved. Not with any help from BFG. Have still not heard word one from them. Anyway I deleted/reinstalled everything. Found remnants of what the Game Manager password was via Google Password Manager. It was different from the main page email/password. Deleted it, so it no longer tries to load when opening GM. Deleted/reinstalled GM once again. When I was again prompted for the email/password, I did so using the Main Page data and I was then able to Activate the games that were left in my download queue from back when this problem first started more than a month ago. That's the good news.
Problem #2 started once I started doing what I said I was going to do .... which was to download the 50 or so "Best Of" games from my library. Didn't get past game #1 Drawn: The Painted Tower Got a six digit error message starting with 308xxx. Basically that's telling me that my computer doesn't like dealing with the BFG servers. Strange, since the AV/Malware/Firewall on my end hasn't changed. So I still have a problem, and I don't trust BFG enough to write another letter to Customer Service. I'll let you all know what I find when dealing with "permissions" that allow my PC to download games from BFG servers.

That would be a problem if it was widespread. Does that mean that I have to buy a remastered version of a game I already own. The Drawn trilogy was produced by Big Fish Games Studio. As was the Mystery Case Files games. I'm sure game creation was the first thing to go during the many cost cutting changes.

The original Drawn: The Painted Tower has been removed from the BF website. Not sure when this happened but noticed this a while ago. I guess they removed it sometime after the remastered version was released (Redrawn: The Painted Tower). Your issue might have something to do with that. I would try another one of those 50 or so games on your list and see if you have the same problem.
And yes, games in your Purchase History that are later removed from the website are supposed to still be available to you for download, but I have seen some instances where this is not the case anymore. This is a very real issue that needs to be addressed. It has been submitted to tech support for investigation, but they have been so busy with the transition of the company that I don't believe anything has been looked at yet. Marian I have experienced this on quite a few of BF older games. In the past I would submit a help request about it and they would just give me a free BF code to compensate for the game loss. Not sure about now. One workaround I figured out was if I had a saved executable of the demo of said game I could install that and then activate it on my account. So since then I make sure and download the demo .exe files for any BF game I am interested in. Not sure if this still works though since BF has gone through so many back end changes! Also of course we have all the old games using flash that no longer work too, not sure if third party flash add ons work with these old BF games or not. Yay, isn't progress great?!? :-p

Hi lakerz, I am also not sure if these third-party flash add-ons work with BF games; I haven't gotten around to trying it yet. There have been some posts on Reddit that I haven't explored yet explaining other workarounds for this issue as well. As far as I know, Customer Support still gives free game codes (or with the new system, points added to your account) as compensation for games you can no longer play. And I don't know if the demo .exe files thing still works, although I do remember someone mentioning this to me in the past. I hope all is well with you.

Spoke too fast! Drawn 2 downloads and installs, but gets the same 308xxx error message when I try to activate it. Will have to try some other games to see if the problem persists.

The same thing happened to "MCF Dire Grove" which was first reported by Tally Ho on the "Hound of Baskervilles" thread. Only there wasn't an error message ... just a blip on the task bar, then nothing. I don't know if that problem was ever solved. It certainly wasn't solved by me.

The correct answer is ... It depends.
All three Drawn games in the series have a problem. The first wouldn't install and gave me the 308xxx error message. Drawn 2&3 installed, but stalled at the point where they should have activated. They remained in queue waiting to be activated, and when I click on activate in game manager both come up with the same 308xxx error message.
So, I downloaded another of my faves, Emerald City Confidential. It went through the entire install process, including activation, without a hitch. I immediately tested it to see if it would open. It did.
Very strange! Not only was my original problem BFG related, but almost all of the recent problems seem to be with BFG Studio created games. While I have played most of the MCF games, Dire Grove was the only one that from that series that made in into my Top 20, so it's unlikely that I will try downloading any more to test that theory.
